CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA – We are proud and excited to announce that CRAFT (Charleston Regional Accelerated Flight Training) is now under new ownership. CRAFT Flight Training and Simulation is a veteran-owned flight school located on the General Aviation ramp of Charleston International Airport (KCHS). Their commitment is to provide aviators with all levels of experience access to modern training aircraft and simulator technology. CRAFT combines traditional, foundational principles of flight training with the latest in technology, providing you with a state-of-the-art experience. Co-Owners Jay and Amanda Aldea, and Barry Emerson strive to make CRAFT the place where aviation dreams become reality. Jay has strong ties to the Charleston area, having grown up in Summerville and graduating from the College of Charleston. He recently returned to the Lowcountry with his wife, Amanda, after a successful career as a Naval Officer to share his passion for flying with others. Director of Flight Operations and Lead Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Barry Emerson, has over 2000 hours and worked as an executive for 30 years but never lost his love for flying.
