Chamber Member Bylaws

Renewals and Dues

All members must renew their membership one year after their initial enrollment. Failure to do so will result in the termination of said membership.

Conduct During Meetings

  • Be professional and please limit your use of profanity, derogatory talk, gossip, and other negative communication.
  • Tip the wait staff well and be polite at all times to the hosting staff/venues.
  • Please wear professional attire that corresponds to your industry. Remember first impressions go a long way.
  • Be polite and welcoming to all other members and all visitors regardless of personal conflict, conflicting industries, etc.
  • Follow the instructions/directions of the event host at all times.

Chamber Board of Director Bylaws

Needed to authorize a purchase

Any purchase over $150 needs a majority vote by the Board of Directors.

Replace Board Member

The Board of Directors must have a majority vote to remove a current Board Member. The Board must also have a majority vote to add a new Board Member.

Board Member Requirements

Must attend 3/4 Quarterly Board Meetings. Must adhere to all Ethics Policies. Must not engage in any form of inappropriate communication or actions with a member or visitor, as deemed by a Board vote.

Free Memberships

Free Memberships are awarded to the following: Board Members and Ambassadors. All other free memberships must be approved by a Board vote.

Chamber Refund & Privacy Policies

Refund Policy

The North Charleston Chamber of Commerce does not issue refunds without Board Member approval via vote. If you sign up your membership is ended before it expires for any reason, we will issue a statement of credit for the remaining months you are entitled to.
