Ever wondered what it takes to build a flourishing business? Want to know where the demand is? Are you trying to confirm if your idea will work?
“Business research” helps you gather comprehensive information pertaining to your business so relevant changes can be made when when starting a new venture. And, if you’re planning to expand your business, research can help you determine your odds of positive results. But, where do you go for this type of research, and what type of information are we talking about?
The SBDC and York County Economic Development will provide a quick overview of free tools available to small business owners to assist in their research. Tools that assist in market research and the validation of entrepreneurial ideas for new and existing businesses.
Join John Blomberg, SBDC Area Manager, and Kelly Reddecliff, YCED Research Manager, in a review of systems like Guru, ESRI, IBIS World, VerticalIQ and other tools to help determine direction for your business.

The SC SBDC advances South Carolina’s economic development by providing entrepreneurs throughout the state with no-fee consulting, affordable training programs and access to an array of resources that can help them expand or create a thriving business.
York County Economic Development (YCED) is the lead organization responsible for recruiting businesses, retaining and growing existing firms, and promoting and marketing York County. YCED also assists in strategic initiatives across York County that are focused on product development, workforce development, infrastructure improvements and quality of life.
