Holiday Events North Charleston Style

It’s the holiday season in the Lowcountry and there’s no shortage of great events to take part in. All over the various parts of the Charleston area, there are concerts, shows, festivals, and events. With so much going on it’s easy to lose sight of some things closer to home. We wanted to take the time to highlight how to enjoy some holiday events North Charleston style. Here are a few events in the North Charleston area that will help make your holidays a time to remember.

Holiday Hoedown, Thur. Dec. 5th, 6 – 8 pm

Wannamaker Country Park

This event invites people with special needs, their families, and caregivers to enjoy a night of country-style holiday fun. Hosted in Cypress Hall, it will feature pizza, music, appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as Wattson, the Holiday Festival of Lights mascot. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Western Outfit. Tickets are $5.

Christmas Made in the South, Fri Dec. 6th – Sun Dec. 8th

Exchange Park, 9850 US-78, Ladson

Just in time for holiday shopping, this annual event gathers some of the best artists in the nation in a fantastic market that’s an outing for the whole family. Enjoy food and assorted goods as you explore this incredible, once a year market, just in time for some Christmas shopping. Admission is $8 for adults and covers all three days. Children 12 and under are free.

North Charleston Christmas Festival and Parade, Sat. Dec 7th, 4 – 8 pm

Felix C. Davis Community Center, 4800 Park Circle Dr., North Charleston

This family-friendly event is held in the incredible Park Circle area of North Charleston. The festivities kick off with a parade followed by kid’s activities, marshmallow roasting pits, hayrides, an artist market, great food, live music, and a visit from Santa himself. So get the whole family together and enjoy an incredible night out!
